The world that travels with you.
Wyldore: Hushwild, Ambient Audio Companion
“A mythic creature shelters in the acoustic space of your glasses. It asks nothing. It simply listens to your world, and reflects it back.”
Core Concept
Affect Over Mastery
Hushwild is not a meditation app. It doesn't schedule sessions, demand focus, or ask you to stop what you're doing. It runs silently alongside your day: only speaking when your world calls for it.
A creature from the Wyldore universe inhabits your audio space. It reacts to the real world. When streets grow noisy, it stirs. When you find a quiet café or take the park route home, it settles, hums, and purrs. Caring for the creature becomes an intuitive act of self-care.
There is no score. There is no leaderboard. There is no streak. The only signal is affect: how the companion feels, expressed through sound, in response to how your world feels.
No screen required
The complete experience lives in your ear. Display glass features are additive, never essential.
Always passive
No sessions to start. No menus to navigate. Your companion is always there, quietly listening.
Privacy by architecture
Sound is measured as a single volume number and immediately forgotten. Raw audio never leaves the device.
How It Works
The Reciprocal Loop
Your world shapes the companion. The companion shapes your awareness of your world.
Environment
Noise rises on the subway platform. Your pace quickens through a construction corridor. The world sends signals.
Companion Stirs
The creature grows uneasy. Irregular hums. A subtle static crackle. Its audio presence drifts closer to your ear: seeking shelter.
Awareness
You notice. An external signal where your own interoception might have missed it. “My companion is uneasy” becomes a prompt to scan the environment.
Real Action
You duck into a park. You slow your pace. The world is the interface. No buttons to press.
Recovery
Distress dissolves. A long, descending exhale-like tone. Then a steady purr. Then contented silence. You feel it too.
The Companion
Five States of Being
The creature communicates entirely through sound: no voice, no words, no interface. Only presence.
Deep Rest
Near silence. A barely-perceptible low hum, like distant wind through grass. The healthiest state.
Content
A soft, steady purr with gentle harmonic overtones. Settled at your shoulder, curious and calm.
Alert
The purr becomes intermittent. Quick, fluttery oscillations suggest the creature is looking around.
Uneasy
Low, irregular hums with harmonic dissonance. The breathing rhythm accelerates. A faint crackle.
Distress
A sustained dissonant drone. The companion feels small. Audio tucks close against your ear, seeking shelter.
Sanctuary Zones
The World Is the Interface
You don't tap a button to feed the companion. You walk to a park.
When you enter a quiet space, a park, a library, a green corridor, a café you've learned to love, the companion recognizes the shift. A single, clear chime. The bell of arrival.
Stay for five minutes and something rare happens: a Bloom. A brief, beautiful melodic phrase that plays once, then dissolves into silence. It should feel precious, because it's uncommon.
Over time, the companion remembers the places where you consistently find calm. These become Repaired Spaces: locations where it settles more readily, with richer audio. A personal geography of well-being, built from the places you actually go.
Bloom Event
Silence → Chime → Settling Cascade → Bloom → Silence
Long-Term Relationship
The Bond Grows With You
No microtransactions. No time gates. Bond is earned through real-world behavior.
Platform
Built for Android XR
Hushwild is designed natively for Android XR intelligent eyewear: audio glasses and display glasses. The experience requires no screen engagement whatsoever.
Where display glasses are available, an optional ambient glanceable card shows the companion's state as a soft glow and silhouette at the edge of your field of view. Nothing demanding. Nothing intrusive.
Built with Kotlin and the Jetpack XR SDK. Spatial audio anchored via SceneCore. The companion exists at a fixed point in 3D space: perched at your right shoulder, tracking naturally as you turn your head.
The Wyldore Universe
Stillgrove
Hushwild walks with you. Stillgrove waits at home. The same mythic world, but transformed into a living, spatial biome anchored in your room. Tend creatures with your hands. Watch your lenses dim as you invest care. A sit-down experience for XREAL Project Aura.
